Brownshill Portal Tomb is a massive, ancient capstone balanced on uprights and sits on open farmland a short walk from a small roadside parking area, so wear sturdy shoes for uneven, possibly muddy ground. There are no facilities or visitor centre, parking is informal and free, and you should keep dogs on a lead because of livestock. It is visible from the road but worth the short walk for photos, especially in soft morning or evening light, and you should not climb on or disturb the stones out of respect and for your safety. Plan 15 to 30 minutes for a visit, go in daylight, and leave gates as you find them.
