Sauwandarek Village is located on Mansuar Island in Raja Ampat. This charming coastal village is home to the indigenous Sawai people, known for their warm hospitality and traditional way of life. Visiting Sauwandarek offers a unique glimpse into local culture, where you can admire traditional thatched houses.

The area is also a popular underwater spot for sightings of large turtles. While we weren't overly impressed by the corals here, we did spot some impressive turtles resting on the seabed and observed many divers in the area. It's a nice stop during a day tour to explore the local village and take a quick dip in the water.
