Norwick Beach is located in Unst, Shetland Islands and is a paradise for photographers and artists looking to capture its whitewashed picturesque croft house on the shoreline, and abundant wild flowers amongst a mix of sand and pebbles. It's also known for its burn, which continually changes direction, and 'the Taing' - a distinctive narrow tidal island that juts out from the north of the beach. This area, with an ophiolite marking the ancient collision of oceanic crust onto a continent, is particularly interesting for geologists. Whether simply enjoying the sunshine or exploring the fascinating history and views, Norwick Beach makes for an excellent day out.
