Such a beautiful walking trail in Newcastle, great views over the ocean and along the coastline! Definitely come here for sunset!

About: The Newcastle Memorial Walk is a stunning coastal walkway that offers amazing views of Newcastle's coastline and the Hunter Valley. It was built to honour the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli and the start of steelmaking in Newcastle. The highlight is a 160m bridge adorned with steel soldier silhouettes and thousands of family names of local men and women who served in World War I. It's also part of the Bathers Way, a scenic route linking Merewether Ocean Baths to Nobbys Beach. So, it's not just a walk, it's a tribute to the community's history and heroes.
