About: The Pinnacles Desert, located within Nambung National Park in Western Australia, is a captivating landscape renowned for its thousands of ancient limestone spires rising from golden sands. Situated approximately 200 kilometers north of Perth, near the coastal town of Cervantes, this unique desert offers visitors an otherworldly experience.
Visitors can explore the desert via a 4-kilometer driving loop suitable for 2WD vehicles, or on foot along designated walking trails that offer close-up views of the formations. The Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre, open daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, provides insightful exhibits on the geology, flora, fauna, and cultural significance of the area.
Nambung National Park is open year-round, with an entry fee of $17 per private vehicle.
