2. Best Viewing Spots
Viaduct Viewpoint
Short 10ā15 minute uphill walk from the Glenfinnan Visitor Centre car park.
Gets crowded ā arrive early if the train is coming.
Behind the Viaduct / Track Level
Walk past the main viewpoint toward the viaduct base.
You can get epic wide-angle shots from here or film the train overhead.
Loch Shiel Viewpoint
Nearby trail with views of the Glenfinnan Monument and Loch Shiel, also seen in Harry Potter films.
3. Parking & Access
Use the Glenfinnan Visitor Centre car park (paid, gets full quickly during peak hours).
Overflow parking available, but may require a walk back.
Arrive at least 1 hour before train times in peak season (MayāOctober).
4. Wear Comfy Shoes
The walk to the viewpoint is short but uneven and can be muddy.
Bring trainers or hiking shoes, especially if itās rained recently.
