A great lookout point over Magnetic Island

About: Hawkings Point Lookout on Magnetic Island offers a stunning vantage point to catch the sunrise or sunset and spot majestic birds of prey soaring overhead. The 1.2km return track, accessed from Picnic Bay, winds through coastal forest with spiky tussock grass and leads to the lookout perched on a giant granite boulder. From there, visitors can enjoy panoramic views across the island and Cleveland Bay while taking in the sights and sounds of nature. It's a moderately challenging walk, but totally worth it for the breathtaking scenery and wildlife sightings!
