Get ready for one of Colorado's most spectacular drives over Kebler Pass, a journey that takes you through one of the largest aspen groves in North America.

This unpaved, 30-mile road is a local favorite, especially in the fall when the landscape explodes into a brilliant canopy of gold. The drive itself takes about two hours, winding through breathtaking mountain views and peaceful meadows, and is easily managed by most cars.

If you're looking to stretch your legs, you'll find plenty of trailheads right off the road for a beautiful hike among the trees.

Insider Tips:

  • Go at sunrise or sunset for the most dramatic colors and sunsets/rises.

  • Go during the weekday to avoid crowds.

  • This drive is stunning and will take your breath away.
