At the head of Telluride's iconic box canyon, you'll find the magnificent Bridal Veil Falls, Colorado's tallest free-falling waterfall. The hike to the base is a fantastic 4.8-mile round trip journey that's well worth the effort, typically taking about an hour and a half to two hours to reach the top. You'll be navigating a trail with some rewarding uphill sections, but the stunning views of the valley and the powerful cascade are an incredible payoff. It's a perfect adventure for most fitness levels, and you'll often share the path with fellow nature lovers and their furry companions.

Insider Tips:

  • Go during sunrise or sunset for a quieter experience.
