You'll feel like you've stumbled upon a hidden oasis at Rifle Falls State Park, where a stunning 70-foot triple waterfall cascades into a lush, green canyon. It's an easy, five minute stroll from the parking area to the base of the falls, making it accessible for everyone. For a bit more adventure, you can explore the small limestone caves behind the falls or take the Coyote Trail, a gentle 1.5-mile loop that offers different perspectives from above and around the cascades.
Insider Tips:
Rifle Falls is prettiest during spring.
The park is small and can get very crowded. I suggest going early in the morning for solutitude.
There are select camping spots which can be reserved online.
During winter have fun exploring the ICE CAVES.
My photos were taken in 2020. Since then boundary fencing has been installed so please respect the fencing and never jump over it.
Take Coyote trail to go behind the waterfalls!
