You'll feel like you've stumbled upon a hidden oasis at Rifle Falls State Park, where a stunning 70-foot triple waterfall cascades into a lush, green canyon. It's an easy, five minute stroll from the parking area to the base of the falls, making it accessible for everyone. For a bit more adventure, you can explore the small limestone caves behind the falls or take the Coyote Trail, a gentle 1.5-mile loop that offers different perspectives from above and around the cascades.

Insider Tips:

  • Rifle Falls is prettiest during spring.

  • The park is small and can get very crowded. I suggest going early in the morning for solutitude.

  • There are select camping spots which can be reserved online.

  • During winter have fun exploring the ICE CAVES.

  • My photos were taken in 2020. Since then boundary fencing has been installed so please respect the fencing and never jump over it.

  • Take Coyote trail to go behind the waterfalls!
