Hermannsdalstinden is the tallest mountain in western Lofoten, standing at 1029 meters above sea level. The hike to the summit is a challenging but rewarding adventure, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. With two main approaches, starting from Sørvågen or Forsfjord, hikers can choose between a longer, more gradual route or a shorter, steeper option. Camping options are available along the trail, making it a great overnight trip for those looking to experience the beauty of Lofoten's rugged terrain. There is now a tent restriction you need to look at before you start the trip. Look at my map to see the trail. You can book a stay at Monkebu but remember to book before you start your hike. Parking in sørvågen (more info In DNT munkebu) . Remember to pay for parking.
