This is one of our favorite waterfalls in Madeira! If you love waterfalls and jungle vibes - then this one is a must-do for you. The Água d’Alto waterfall is located in a canyon in Faial and is about 150 meters high! If you love a little walk ‘off the beaten path’ then the short 10-minute walk on a pleasant levada path is definitely for you. This waterfall is the most powerful after a rainy day. We recommend to combine this waterfall with visiting The Crane Viewpoint (at sunrise). Follow the pin which will take you to the trailhead with a clear sign “Cascata” and then follow the sound of the falling water.
