Start: 10am at Lo Wu Border

Description:

The one itinerary every first-time Shenzhen visitor should do. Crosses every highlight in one clean day — award winning food at the border, extraordinary metro architecture, the world's largest electronics market and a Michelin recognised dinner. Everything connects on Line 1 heading west then back east.

Full Day Timing:

🕙 10:00am — Lo Wu Border Crossing
Cross early. Beat the lunchtime queue. Pick up your Shenzhen Tong travel card at the station exit.

🕙 10:30am — Lo Wu Commercial City
30 minute browse. Multiple floors of clothing, accessories and markets. Right at the border — no metro needed.

🍜 11:00am — Jingzhifang Restaurant
Inside Lo Wu Commercial City. Award winning. The Peking duck is extraordinary. Watch the chefs in the open kitchen. Allow 60 to 90 minutes. This is your lunch — don't rush it.

🚇 12:30pm — Metro Line 1 to Gangxia Station
11 minutes direct. Walk to Gangxia North station for the architecture — 5 minute walk from Gangxia.

🏛️ 1:00pm — Gangxia North Station
30 minutes. Walk through. Look up. Take photos. This is modern China building at a scale that doesn't exist anywhere else. Free.

🚇 1:30pm — Metro Line 2 one stop to Huaqiangbei
3 minutes.

🔌 2:00pm to 5:00pm — Huaqiangbei and Segcom Mall
Your electronics window. Check 1688 and Taobao prices before you walk in. Use the haggling system. Test before you pay. Walk through Segcom first to compare prices before committing anywhere.

5:00pm — Coffee break
Multiple cafes throughout Huaqiangbei and Segcom. Rest your feet. Review what you want to buy. Go back in fresh.

🍽️ 6:00pm — Tao Tao Ju Dinner
Metro to Guomao Station on Line 1. 7F Jinguanghua Plaza, 2028 Renmin Nan Road, Luohu. Founded 1880. Michelin recognised. Allow 90 minutes. This is your evening meal — order everything.

🌃 7:30pm — Optional: walk to Civic Centre
If you have energy — metro to Civic Center Station on Line 2. Night light show at 7:30pm, 8:30pm or 9:30pm. Free. Extraordinary. Worth the extra hour.

🚇 By 10:30pm — Last train from Lo Wu
Metro back to Luohu Station on Line 1. Walk across the border. Last train back to Hong Kong.

End: 11pm back in Hong Kong
