Tao Tao Ju in Guomao — Michelin recognised. Founded 1880. Order everything dim sum.

Dongmen Old Street — egg waffles, skewers, bubble tea, street noodles. Budget ¥30 to ¥60 for a full eating circuit. Open until midnight.

Link CentralWalk food court — underground. Air conditioned. Huge variety. Chinese, Japanese, Western. Budget ¥50 to ¥100.

COCO Park restaurants — mid range. International variety. Good evening option with the bar street alongside.

Sea World Plaza — waterfront dining. International and Chinese. More expensive than local options but the atmosphere is worth it for an evening meal.
