Save Money on Your Morocco Trip
Exclusive discounts and the apps we use every single trip

Morocco
Before you book anything for Morocco, here are a few simple tools and discount codes that will save you a significant amount of money across your trip.
eSIM: The first thing we do before any international trip is set up an eSIM. It means the moment you land in Casablanca you have data on your phone without hunting for a physical SIM card or paying roaming charges. Google Maps works in Morocco and having it active from the second you clear customs makes navigating an unfamiliar city significantly less stressful.
Use code KRISTINASTRAVELS at saily.com for an exclusive 15% discount on your data plan.
Getting Around by Uber, Careem and inDrive: Uber does not have a long history in Morocco but relaunched in late 2025 so it may now be available in some cities. We recommend downloading all three apps before you fly and checking which has the most drivers available when you arrive as it will vary by city and by time of day.
We used Careem throughout our trip and found it reliable in Casablanca and Marrakesh. It works just like Uber with a fixed price shown before you confirm the ride.
For Fez, inDrive tends to be the stronger option. It lets you suggest your own price and drivers can accept or negotiate which actually fits perfectly with Morocco's bargaining culture.
One important tip: all of these apps work better with eSim data as drivers will often call you to confirm your exact location. Another reason the Saily eSIM is worth setting up before you board.
Rexby: This is the guide you are reading right now. Save it offline before you fly so all the pins, tips and itinerary are accessible even without data. Open it the moment you land and you have everything you need right there on your phone.
Klook (Up to 10% Off Activities and Attractions) This is the best way to book tours, experiences and attraction tickets across Morocco and the rest of the world. Use my exclusive code at checkout and save up to 10% on everything including:
Sahara Desert overnight camps and camel rides Marrakesh food tours and cooking classes Atlas Mountains day trips Guided medina tours in Marrakesh and Fez Airport transfers Hot air balloon rides over Marrakesh Quad biking in the desert
Use code KRISTINAKLOOK at klook.com and enter it at checkout.
đž Wise: Morocco is largely a cash based country and you will be withdrawing money regularly throughout your trip. We have a Wise card for overseas trips, and it gives you the real mid market exchange rate with no hidden fees. This means every time we take out Moroccan Dirhams we're getting a significantly better rate than a standard bank card would give you. One more tip that most people don't know, whenever a payment terminal or ATM asks whether you want to pay in Moroccan Dirhams or your home currency, always select Moroccan Dirhams. Choosing your home currency hands the exchange rate over to the local bank which will almost always be significantly worse. Always pay in the local currency and let Wise handle the conversion on its end.
We use Wise on every single trip and it has saved us hundreds of dollars over the years.

Google Maps (Download Offline Before You Leave Your Hotel) Google Maps works well in Morocco but mobile data can be patchy once you head into the Atlas Mountains or toward the Sahara. Every morning before you head out open Google Maps, tap your profile, go to Offline Maps and download the area you are visiting that day. It takes two minutes and could save you hours of confusion on the road.
Kristina's tip: Set aside 20 minutes the night before you fly to download all of these apps and set them up properly. Saily activated, Rexby saved offline, Careem and inDrive accounts created, Klook code saved and Wise card ordered a week or two before you travel. Do it once and you will land in Morocco feeling completely ready.
