Queenstown Gardens is a peaceful green space just a few minutes’ walk from the center of town, so it’s one of the easiest spots to slip away from the busy streets. You'll be able to walk through tall trees and colorful flower beds, and to enjoy stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. Plan for an hour or two here, whether you’re strolling, enjoying a picnic on the lawns, or trying out the disc golf course that locals love. The rose garden is especially pretty in bloom, and if you keep your eyes open you’ll notice a few sculptures tucked among the trees.
