If you’re spending time in Queenstown, make sure to slow down and enjoy the lakefront. Sitting right on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown’s lakeside area is one of the most peaceful and scenic spots in town. Whether you're into early morning walks or just want to sit with a coffee and take it all in, the view never gets old.

You can wander along the waterfront path, watch the TSS Earnslaw steam past, or even take a dip if you're feeling brave; the water is cold, but refreshing. There are plenty of benches, grassy spots, and cafés nearby, so it’s easy to spend a whole afternoon doing nothing but soaking up the views.

At sunset, the light hits the lake just right, with the Remarkables in the distance and the sky turning all kinds of colors.
