Sealy Tarns is a stunning viewpoint in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, and it’s the first major stop on the way up to Mueller Hut. The hike is steep but the views make every step worth it. You’ll see the Hooker Valley, glaciers, and towering peaks all around. The tarns themselves are small, peaceful pools that reflect the mountains on calm days, making them perfect for photos. Early morning or late afternoon gives the best light, and even a short walk up from the car park is rewarding. It’s a great place to catch your breath before continuing higher or just enjoy the alpine scenery on its own.
