If you’re driving between Queenstown and Wanaka, make sure to pull over at the Crown Range Road Scenic Lookout. Sitting at one of the highest main roads in New Zealand, this spot gives you jaw-dropping views over the valleys and mountains below. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Lake Hayes and even Coronet Peak in the distance. It’s one of those classic Kiwi road trip stops that reminds you why driving through New Zealand is such a good idea.
