The Church of the Good Shepherd sits right on the edge of Lake Tekapo and is one of the most photographed spots in New Zealand. The little stone church looks stunning with the lake and mountains in the background. It’s become a big Instagram spot, but it’s still a genuinely beautiful place, especially when the light hits the water just right. In summer, it gets really busy, so the best time to visit is early in the morning when it’s quiet and peaceful.
