Oaro Beach is a lovely spot on New Zealand’s eastern coast, not far from Kaikoura. The beach has smooth pebbles and soft sand, perfect for a walk or just relaxing. One of the best things about this spot is that it’s a place where you can stop and watch for dolphins. They are often seen in the area, so keep your eyes on the water while you enjoy the view of the Pacific and the rugged coastline.

It’s also a great place for a picnic, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the fresh sea air. For photos, early morning or late afternoon gives the best light on the waves and coastline. Oaro Beach has a laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature, and of course, keeping an eye out for wildlife.
