The Diamond Lake Lookout Track near Wānaka is a short and rewarding walk that gives you big views without needing to commit to a long hike. Starting from the car park, the trail climbs steadily through native scrub to a platform overlooking the lake and surrounding hills. It’s well-formed and suitable for most fitness levels, so you can take it easy and still enjoy the scenery.
