At the end of the Hooker Valley Track, you’ll find Hooker Lake. And honestly, it’s the perfect reward after the walk. Surrounded by towering peaks and with Aoraki/Mount Cook right in front of you, the view is absolutely unreal.

The lake itself is glacier-fed, so the water is icy cold and often scattered with little icebergs drifting around. It’s a peaceful spot to just sit for a while, have a snack, and take it all in. Some people even dip their feet in, but fair warning, it’s freezing.
