This is the filming location for the Amon Sûl scenes in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, where Aragorn and the hobbits are ambushed by the Nazgûl and Frodo is stabbed. The summit scenes, however, were filmed in a studio. The site itself is stunning, with dramatic landscapes that perfectly reflect the tension and drama of the movie. To visit, you can try to catch the owners by waiting politely outside their gate or by respectfully asking to enter, which is what I did myself.
