The Routeburn Track Trailhead is where your Great Walk adventure begins. It is easy to reach and sits in stunning Fiordland National Park with mountains and forest all around. You can often see kākā in the trees nearby, which is a nice bonus before you start hiking. The area has restrooms and info boards, and hikers usually chat and share tips before heading out.
