Mavora Lakes Camping Area at North Lake is a beautiful spot in New Zealand where you can really disconnect and enjoy nature. The lakes are surrounded by mountains and native bush, creating a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax. You can set up your tent or park your campervan close to the water, and the area has plenty of space to explore along walking tracks or by the shoreline.

It’s also a perfect spot to stay overnight in a van if you’ve been visiting the Lord of the Rings filming locations nearby and don’t want to drive back in the dark. In the evenings, the starry skies are incredible.
