Lake Gunn Nature Walk is a short loop through lush Fiordland forest that feels calm and untouched. The path is flat and easy so it is a good break during the drive to Milford Sound. The trail leads you to the edge of Lake Gunn where the water can be so still that the mountains reflect perfectly on the surface. It is a great place to slow down, listen to birds, and enjoy the mossy forest. If you like photography bring a wide lens for reflections and try visiting early in the morning when the light is soft.
