Monkey Creek Parking is a small pull-off along the road to Milford Sound that has become famous for spotting keas. These clever alpine parrots often hang around the area, checking out cars and sometimes snacks, so keep an eye on your belongings. It is a fun and easy stop to stretch your legs and watch the birds in their natural habitat. The surrounding mountains and forest also make it a nice spot for photos while you enjoy the playful keas.
