Waipunga Falls is a quick stop right off State Highway 5 between Taupō and Napier. You just pull into the small lookout area and you get an amazing view of twin waterfalls dropping into a lush green valley. You do not need more than ten minutes here, but it is a really pretty spot to stretch your legs before getting back on the road.
