While the main castle keep is a reconstruction, the vast, sprawling grounds with their impressive stone walls, historic gates, and meticulously restored turrets and storehouses offer a genuine glimpse into our feudal past. You'll find the park is a lovely place for a stroll, with mostly flat pathways perfect for taking in the scenery, especially during the cherry blossom season in spring or when the autumn leaves are in full color. For a small fee, you can enter the impressive Gojukken Nagaya warehouse and turrets to see the incredible wooden craftsmanship up close.
