Step into a peaceful oasis in the heart of Tokyo at the Imperial Palace, the primary residence of the Emperor of Japan. While the inner palace grounds are only accessible on special occasions, you can freely wander through the beautiful East Gardens, which are part of the former Edo Castle. It's a wonderful place for a relaxing stroll, where you can discover ancient castle ruins, serene moats, and meticulously maintained seasonal flowers. The main paths are generally flat and well-maintained, making for an easy and enjoyable walk.
