New Zealand
New Zealand is a drone lover’s dream, but the rules are strict and it's important to abide by them to avoid further restrictions.
Here are three places to check before flying your drone recreationally anywhere in New Zealand.
1️⃣ Department of ConservationS Recreational Drone Map
Many national parks and conservation areas require permits — and some prohibit drones completely. Always check DOC land before you launch.
No Color = No Drone restrictions. you are good to fly.
Green and Orange = You can fly with appropriate permits
Red = No drones allowed (and next to impossible to get permission).

2️⃣ Airshare (Airspace App)
This shows controlled airspace, nearby airports, and no-fly zones. You must stay below 120m and clear of controlled airspace unless approved.

3️⃣ Private Property Rules (CAA requirements)
Under the rules set by the Civil Aviation Authority, you need landowner permission to take off and land and to fly over private property, so even when visiting areas that don't have doc or airpsace restrictions you need to make sure you have property owners permissions!
