Directions

Albufeira belongs to the district of Faro in the Algarve region, in Southern Portugal. It is known for its amazing beaches (within and right outside the city), its vibrant nightlife and its foreign resident population. The name Albufeira comes from the Arabic language and it means "lagoon". It is one of the main touristic destinations in Algarve, mainly during the high season, in the summertime.

This is a nice city to stay at while visiting nearby beaches such as Falésia, Fontainhas, Marinha or Benagil.
