The Sundarbans is a massive mangrove forest area located in the Ganges Delta, stretching from India's West Bengal to Bangladesh's Khulna Division. Covering about 10,000 square kilometers, it's known for its diverse ecosystem and unique wildlife, including the iconic sundri and gewa trees. This UNESCO World Heritage Site faces threats from natural disasters like cyclones and human activities like the proposed coal-fired power station. Despite challenges, efforts are being made to protect this "beautiful forest" and its inhabitants for future generations.
