Trier Saint Peter's Cathedral is an impressive and captivating destination full of history and secrets within Germany's oldest church. Built in the early fourth century, this Roman Catholic cathedral boasts a Romanesque westwork built by Poppo von Babenberg that has four towers and an additional apse, a Baroque chapel for the relic of Jesus' Seamless Robe, and ancient Roman brick that was recycled to form parts of the outer walls. The treasury contains some of Christianity's most artful relics, such as the Seamless Robe of Jesus, St. Helena's skull, her drinking cup, and the Egbert Shrine. A monument like no other, Trier Saint Peter's Cathedral is a must-see destination.
