Come and see a piece of history resting on the golden sands of 75 Mile Beach. The S.S. Maheno shipwreck is a truly haunting and beautiful sight, a rusting skeleton of a once-proud ocean liner that washed ashore in a cyclone back in 1935. You can get right up close to it, making for some incredible photos, especially as the sun rises or sets. To get here, you'll need a 4WD to drive along the beach highway, and it's best to time your visit for low tide when more of the wreck is exposed.
