Mark's "Y" beach, on Orpheus Island. A picnic-and-snorkel spot off an old jetty with pristine water, reef life and surviving giant clams (look, don't touch, they're fragile). Reachable as a guest of Orpheus Island Lodge, by private boat with a camping permit, or on seasonal SeaLink day trips from Townsville. One of the quietest reef snorkels in the guide.
