Levada do Caldeirão Verde is a popular levada (irrigation channel) hiking trail. The trail is approximately 13 kilometers long and takes around 4-5 hours to complete, depending on one's pace.

The path begins in the Queimadas forest park. From there, hikers follow the levada which winds its way through the mountains and valleys, passing through tunnels and over narrow footbridges.

The highlight of the Levada do Caldeirão Verde trail is the stunning Caldeirão Verde waterfall, which is located at the end of the levada. The waterfall cascades down a 100-meter high cliff and into a crystal-clear pool, creating a mesmerizing sight for visitors.

Throughout the hike, hikers will be surrounded by stunning scenery, including dramatic mountain landscapes, deep valleys, and verdant forests. The trail is well-marked and maintained, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.
