The Levada das 25 Fontes trek is a popular levada walk on Madeira known for its inclines, which sets it apart from the typical flat levada walks. The journey starts in Rabaçal, leading hikers through the valley and into the forest where they will encounter several waterfalls along the way. Among these waterfalls are the Risco waterfall and the 25 fountains waterfall, the two most remarkable falls (after rainfall) which serve as the source of the levada and lend the walk its name.
