Small but beautiful waterfall

Although not one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, Folaldafoss is definitely worth a stop to admire its beauty. The area features a convenient parking lot and picnic tables, making it a great spot for a break.

The drive to Folaldafoss on Highway 939 is particularly picturesque, with the road being entirely made up of gravel and featuring steep sections. During my visit in October, there was already snow on the mountains, which made for a breathtaking view. While a 4x4 car is recommended for the drive, I did see some front-wheel drive cars making their way up as well.
