Located on a farmer's property in southeastern Iceland, near the delightful fishing towns of Hofn and Hornafjordur, the Viking Village film set stands as a replica of an authentic Viking village that was originally created as a movie set for a Universal Studios production. Unfortunately, the show scrapped it as a filming location due to budgetary constraints. However, the area has been open for visitors to explore at their leisure ever since, providing a unique and fascinating glimpse into the Viking era.

Stokksnes is privately owned and an entrance fee is charged to enter the beach. And thus to admire the Vestrahorn mountain. You can buy your ticket at the Viking Cafe and you will pay 900 ISK per person. (about €5.50)
