Also called Maja e Drites, it's the 3rd highest of Albania at an altitude of 2482m, offering panoramic views across southern Albania. The easiest ascent is a challenging but non-technical hike on the West side, starting from Skore (usually 6–9 h return), with steep sections, a lot of elevation gain and little shade, making it best in spring or autumn. It's especially magical in winter, but bring ice axe and crampons to be safe. Although this is probably the most spectacular alpine area in the country after the Alps, it is rarely visited so you'll probably be on your own. A 4x4 vehicle is required to reach the Skore.
