Step out of the summer heat and into the chilling reality of Albania's communist past at the Cold War Tunnel. This vast underground bunker, kept secret for decades, was built to protect party officials from a nuclear attack that never came. On a short guided tour, you'll walk through an 800-meter labyrinth of rooms left almost exactly as they were found, from command centers to sleeping quarters, offering a truly atmospheric glimpse into an era of intense paranoia. The entrance is conveniently located in the center of town (Rruga Gjin Zenebishti), and the entrance fee is 2 euro. The guided tours start on the hour every hour.
