This lighthouse is one of the oldest in the UK. It is located a short walk from the more modern and working lighthouse.

The Old Flamborough Lighthouse, believed to be the oldest complete surviving lighthouse in England, has a bit of a mysterious past. Built in 1674, it was supposedly lit by coal-burning fires, but recent restoration work raised doubts about its actual function. Standing as a gleaming monument to maritime history, this octagonal chalk tower is a unique beacon on the rugged East Yorkshire coast.
