Breckon Sands in Shetland is a stunning white sand beach on the North of Yell, boasting the largest area of shell sand dune and dune grassland in the region. This beautiful spot offers a sheltered haven from the winds and a perfect view of the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. With traces of Viking and pre-Viking settlements around, it's not just a pretty beach – it's a slice of history too. Access can be a bit steep in places, but trust us, the walk is totally worth it for this hidden gem of a beach.
