Iceland

Soaking in Iceland’s naturally heated waters is a must. It’s an easy, relaxing way to take in the island’s stunning landscapes. Here are some of our favorite Icelandic spas you can check out and book:

Sky Lagoon
If you only have time for one spa in Iceland, make it Sky Lagoon. There are plenty of reasons it stands out, but the 7-step ritual is what truly makes it special for me. It’s also conveniently located in Reykjavík, meaning you could get there in less than 45 minutes after leaving the airport.

Blue Lagoon Iceland
The Blue Lagoon is world-famous for a reason. Yes, it can get crowded and touristy, but it still offers an incredible experience. The milky-blue, silica-rich water is perfectly warm and leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft. Be sure to book ahead, especially during busy seasons, as spots fill up quickly.

Hvammsvík Hot Springs
Located just outside Reykjavík, Hvammsvík offers a more natural and intimate hot spring experience. The pools blend seamlessly with the surrounding shoreline, and their temperatures shift with the tides, making each visit slightly different.

Vök Baths
Located in East Iceland, Vök Baths feels like a hidden gem. It’s a beautiful and peaceful spa, and in winter, they often cut a hole in the ice so you can take a dip in the icy lake before warming back up in the hot pools.

Forest Lagoon
Nestled in a quiet woodland setting near Akureyri, Forest Lagoon offers a unique spa experience surrounded by nature. The warm pools overlook Eyjafjörður, creating a peaceful atmosphere where you can relax and take in the scenic views.

Mývatn Nature Baths
Often referred to as the “Blue Lagoon of the North,” this spa offers a similar experience but on a smaller scale. It’s less crowded and just as enjoyable, making it well worth the visit.
