Just a short drive from Grundarfjörður, you'll find the stunning Grundarfoss, a towering waterfall that many visitors miss. It's a peaceful alternative to the busier spots, with a lovely walk to get there. From the car park, you'll wander for about 20 minutes across open fields, often with friendly Icelandic horses grazing nearby, before the path gets a bit rocky towards the base of the falls. The sheer 70-meter cascade is a powerful sight, and you can get quite close to feel its spray.
