This is a small crater that you can walk up and go down to the shore. There is a small parking fee of $5usd.

A must-see on the Golden Circle, Kerið Crater offers a stunning display of natural color. You can take an easy walk around the entire rim of the red volcanic rock crater, which takes about 20-30 minutes, and offers incredible panoramic views. For a different perspective, follow the path down the slope to the edge of the vivid aquamarine lake nestled at the bottom. There's a small entrance fee to help maintain the site, but it's well worth it for the unique landscape and photo opportunities.
