Just a short drive off the main road on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, you'll find the incredible Gerðuberg Cliffs, a massive wall of perfectly formed basalt columns that look like they were carved by giants. It's an easy, few-minute walk from the car park to the base of these dramatic hexagonal pillars, where you can truly appreciate their scale. For a bit more adventure and a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, you can take the short but steep path to hike to the top.
