Get ready for a view that feels out of this world! Hverfjall is one of the largest and most perfectly formed tephra craters you'll ever see, and the hike to the top is a must-do. From the car park, it's a steady, 20-minute climb up a gravel path to reach the rim. Once you're up, you can walk the entire circumference in about an hour, taking in the immense scale of the crater on one side and breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Mývatn and the surrounding lava fields on the other. It can get quite windy at the top, so be sure to bring the right gear!
